Dr. Rice

See this woman here. Her name is Condoleezza Rice. She is the 66^th and current United States Secretary of State. She is a Republican, part of the Bush regime, and had a part in what I consider the fourth American Revolution. So its suffice to say I don't feel compelled to vote for her anytime soon.

Now that all being said, I don't understand the objections that some are having to Dr. Rice's qualifications to represent her party on the 2008 GOP ticket this November. Yes she is a woman and yes she is black. So the first reaction is that she is a two for one to combat both Clinton and Obama. But she has been a power player in Washington since the Carter Administration. Are we actually going to say that she is no more qualified to be Vice President of the United States than Dick Cheney or Dan Quayle?

I'm not going to go into a big rundown of Dr. Rice's career and accomplishments. When it comes down to it, if she runs for office I'm not going to vote for her. But that is because of her affiliation, not her qualifications. Really, the further we go as a society, the more we are reminded of how much like barbarians and cavemen we still are.
